Martin Heath Joins Lake Forest Squash for June 15-19 Training Camp
Former PSA World #2 player Martin Heath ( Scotland ) will join Lake Forest Squash Racquet Director Kim Tunney in a week-long intensive summer camp and clinic for adult and junior players looking to take their game up a level June 15-19 at the Lake Forest Recreation Center .
Martin Heath currently heads the University of Rochester’ squash team which beat Harvard in February to become the number three ranked collegiate team behind Trinity and Princeton. Heath also serves as the United States Squash junior and under-23 men’s head coach.
Elite players will train from 10:0 am to 3:00 pm daily. Practice will include: court fitness; stroke work drills; conditioned games and match play. Each player will receive a DVD highlighting the week’s performance including a winners and errors analysis.
Beginning and ‘never-ever’ junior players looking to learn the game will meet daily from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. Basic strokes, rules and match strategies.
Adult players will work on court from 7:00-9:00 pm June 16-18 in practice sessions custom-designed to address specific game issues including but not limited to: fitness for master-level players; correct court movement; strategies for 11-point play; stroke production drills; and longevity best practices.

May 30th Junior Squash event
Enclosed is an entry flyer for a Junior Squash Event at Onwentsia on May
30th. Cost is $30 includes entries, two match minimum and prizes.
Matches start at 8am and will finish by 4pm. Starting times will depend
on the size of the groups. Divisions may be combined if needed. Entries
close on May 27th at 5pm and no late entries will be accepted.

For the fifth year in a row, Lake Forest Squash beat Northwestern University ’s men’s squash team winning seven of eleven matches contested on October 26. Winning matches scores were posted by Lake Forest’s Dan Morgan (3-1); Frank Hinsa (3-0); Charles Murphy (3-0); Bruce Cameron (3-2); John Butter (3-0); Scott Milligan (3-1wd injured) and Peter Witmer (3-0 wd forfeit).
Gracious in victory, Lake Forest Squash took members of the Northwestern team out to dinner at Flat Tops Grill in Evanston after the match.
